Storyline:

Matchmaker “Nindro Bhua,” an elderly woman, is admitted to the hospital for a nightly recuperation. When she awakens later that night, she informs her nurse that she was one of hundreds of people who planned her father’s marriage. She tells the tale of Pammi and Lovely (nicknamed “Naag”), much to the amusement of several hospital employees.

Lovely has an incredibly dark complexion, and because of this, no one wants to marry him. All of his marriage offers are turned down. However, despite her beauty, Pammi has not yet tied the knot for an unexplained reason. Their marriage is set in stone once Nindro Bhua sends a proposal. It is discovered that Pammi is unhappy with this proposition since she has a secret crush on Jaggi, a man who lives in her town and is related to her.

Following their marriage, Pammi begins acting as though she is haunted by a ghost in an attempt to get rid of Lovely. She begins to terrify Lovely and his overly cautious relatives. One day, Lovely—who is inebriated—reveals that she loves Jaggi and that she was coerced into marrying him, unfazed by Pammi’s antics. Lovely consents to bring Jaggi along. They should wait until Paal gets married because waiting would interfere with his marriage, according to Nindro Bhua. To prevent Pammi from leaving him to wed Jaggi, Lovely begins courting her in the interim.

Jaggi is trying to persuade the members of Pammi’s family one by one during Paal’s wedding by looking after them. Lovely’s friends warned him that unless he worked hard to hold onto her, Jaggi would win her over. He then gets to work chopping wood and washing utensils. Meanwhile, Lovely encourages Jaggi to get back together with Pammi so she can be happy after they argue and Jaggi leaves. Then, following Paal’s wedding, they both decide to go. The following day, at the train station, Lovely and his companions are leaving for their village, while Pammi and Jaggi are travelling to Chandigarh. At the last second, Pammi decides not to go with Jaggi and returns to Lovely.

Filming of Kala Shah Kala:

After Bailaras was released, Kala Shah Kala was announced, with an expected 2018 release date. “We are working on Kala Shah Kala,” stated Binnu Dhillon in response to a question concerning the film’s delay. Preparations for the film are currently ongoing. After completing a strong script with a strong focus on content, we will move on to the remaining work.

I wanted to grow from my mistakes in the past, which is why this movie was postponed.” After Infantry Pictures took over the production, the movie was given a new start. The word “Kala Shah Kala” means “Purely Black” in Punjabi, and he said that the movie is named after his character, a dark-skinned guy. On September 2, 2018, the movie’s principal photography got underway.

The movie’s theme is social justice; in an interview, Dhillon stated, “In our society, so much emphasis is put on looks, whether it’s a boy or a girl, that sometimes we neglect to see what really matters in life.” Romedy is a combination of romance and comedy. This is a narrative of an underdog that will resonate with a wide audience. I’ve never been associated with Zee Studios before.

The big studios’ increasing recognition of Punjabi films is a positive development for our industry. ” Mehta continued, saying, “We wanted this movie to feel like a warm hug; it’s a celebration of love and will make people smile. It will reaffirm that love is about the heart rather than the outside looks.

Telugu and Tamil actress Kajal Aggarwal reportedly made her Punjabi debut in the movie, however, she was unable to participate because of scheduling conflicts. Sargun Mehta was offered the job, which would be her first lead actress role on screen opposite Binnu Dhillon because she had worked with Infantry Pictures in Jindua.

In Chandigarh, Ravi Kumar Sana, the film’s cinematographer, began principal photography on September 2, 2018. Amarjit Singh, the film’s director, disclosed that the narrative will take place in rural Punjab during the 1990s and will feature a full comedy aimed at providing good enjoyment for the whole family. Sargun Mehta, Jordan Sandhu, Bunty Bains, Karamjit Anmol, and Binnu Dhillon were all present in the mahurat shot of the movie. December 2018 saw the start of the second filming schedule.
